연(煙,vapor)

A vessel embodying heaven's round form.

Annals of King Sejong, Vol. 128 - Ritual Vessel Illustrations: Sanloe
Taebaeksan Archive Ed., Book 40, Vol. 128, p.8B

A sacred vessel used in Jongmyo Royal Ancestral Rites, the most important state ceremony of the Joseon Dynasty. Gwe(궤 簋) held millet grains, placed at the center of the ritual table alongside Bo(보 簠).

Its circular form embodies the ancient philosophy "Heaven is Round (天圓)," representing Yang energy and cosmic harmony. The outer round and inner square structure symbolizes the union of heaven and earth.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
PAYMENT METHODS

When using for the first time, mix lukewarm water (30 parts) with vinegar (1 part), and soak the product for about 40–50 minutes before washing.

This helps reduce water stains and minimizes any metallic scent.

After washing, wipe the surface with a dry cloth and let it dry completely before storing. This will prevent water marks from forming during drying.

If stains do appear, gently rub the surface with a coarse scrubber along the grain of the Yugi. The black powder that may appear is a natural oxide of the alloy — completely harmless to the human body — so you can use it with confidence.
